We recently stayed the weekend at Carefree cove and it was wonderful! The cabins are just the right size with everything you need to feel right at home. They include a small kitchen area complete with stove and refrigerator, a dining area with a table and a sitting area with a couch. Plenty of room for 4 people in the cabin we stayed in (the pink flamingo). The owners were very inviting and were present the whole weekend. We got to chat with them and hear their story of how they acquired this little treasure. The lake is about 40 feet away from the cabin and there are boats and piers to enjoy the lake with. There was not much snow on the ground when we were there, but we heard it is a great place for snowmobilers. The general store right next to the cabins and they offer a great variety of baked goods for breakfast (the BEST cinnamon rolls), pizzas, subs, and cookies. They are also well stocked on party supplies. This is definitely a spot we will return to for many more family vacations in the future!
