My first trip to Kalona and I found the general store and I asked the clerk if this was the only store around here that sells in bulk. She said yes. So we bought a few things. When I got home I checked on the internet and the new Sringtown grocery is just north of Kalona. This was what I was looking for. I guess it pays to lie to people to get their business.

I needed flowers fast for a special event I called the Kalona General Store after finding them on a websearch of Kalona and found out they have a floral department. They took my order over the phone, very pleasant and helpful staff. I had them delvier it to a local address ( no charge!) where I had the chance to see my order at the event later that day. WOw! It was more beautiful than expected, fresh , colorful, tasteful...and I thought very affordable. They have won a customer for life!
