Provided by YP.comService and atmosphere were great. Very pricey we had dinner for 5 $172.00 salads were not very good unfortunately 2 in the group including myself had lasagna were very tasteless. We were even charged for our refills which was very disappointing 5 for 12.50 ok that's fine. But every time we had a refill it was full price. Out of 5 of us there were 6 refills do the math very disappointing. I ate there 2 weeks ago with my son for lunch very reasonable and food was excellent. Tonight the ball was dropped which is unfortunate I really liked the place. Will probably never go back what a same

Provided by YPmobileit's a typical LOOKING family restaurant but with a lot of charisma. linguini with white clams, shrimp scampi (but with way more angel hair noodles), veal spedini, shrimp margarite, seafood fettucine, fried calamari and (yes) fried chicken are too die for!! those are a lot of things to go off that I have tried, the puttanesca, artichokes (any kind), lasagna, veal and chicken spedini are also raved about!! while the majority of servers are Italian, the kitchen is all black and the most attentive person in the restaurant is a nice Mexican boy named Antonio, or Tony for short. if you go there enjoy the entrees I offered and at the very least Tony will offer his nice attitude an great sense of humor!!

Provided by YPmobileWe just moved downtown and wanted to take friends out for dinner. The food the prices and the service was excellent. I had the pasta with clams in a white sauce. The best ever! I would have rated 5 stars IF the decor was more in the year 2000 but with food and service like we had, I will give them a pass. We will be back.

Provided by YP.comMy boyfriend just moved downtown Kansas City and we have been learning about and trying local restaurants and bars in the area. I grew up in an Italian family having homemade sausage, pasta and cookies. My boyfriend's absolute favorite food is Italian. I had been to Anthony's about 5 years ago for a work party and I enjoyed the stuffed artichoke. I liked the atmosphere and appreciate family owned businesses, so i suggested that we go there for an early dinner last night on a Tuesday around 5pm. We were seated and greeted by a very nice server. Looking over the menu we noticed that most entrees ranged between $15 and $22. The special last night was $17.50. The least expensive thing on the menu was the cheese ravoli with plain red sauce for $11.50 which is what we both ordered. I skipped the stuffed artichoke appetizer because it was listed as market price and at this time was $12.50. We both just had water for drinks because it was still early in the day. I'm not sure if it was because we ordered cheaply or if it was because we were sat at a table in a private corner out of plain view but we never saw our server again until she brought us our check. We were both famished and when our house salads promptly came out by an expeditor, I noticed immediately that the iceburg lettuce was brown and wilted but I was very hungry. It tasted horribly like an expired generic bag mix. The Julianned carrots tasted like stale bag salad. Yuk! We each took a few bites and shoved it to the side of the table even though we were very hungry. Our dinners came out shortly after so we immediately dove in. The flavor was good but our food was room temperature. blugh! By the prices, the atmosphere, the reviews and the candle lit tables, this was obviously considered to be a fairly fine dining restaurant but while i ate my cold ravioli i noticed the extremely cheap and bent silverware. hmmm. At this point I just wanted to eat and get out of there. Our server never came to see how everything was. Our table was bussed by a bus boy and then our server dropped off our check as my boyfriend had his wallet out and was pulling out his card, she still walked away. We waited and waited and finally took our ticket up to the host desk to pay. I'm not saying that I won't go back but it was a very unpleasant dining experience for our first time eating Italian food together, and I recommended it so i felt like a jerk and apologized to my boyfriend several times.
