I have always had excellent food and service. Yes, I may have had one mediocre experience in the last 20 years, but Gates is a perennial favorite. My family expects Gates BBQ for Christmas every year.

The service was ok. I ordered the three meet platter. Beef was ok. One of the ribs was cold another was dried and grainy. The ham was tastless. We dined in and the drink refills would cost 1 $.
