Transferring from one hospital to this one at 12 pm. Was physically moved to it by 7:30pm. Waited in a small room with out a working bathroom for 4 hours. We couldn't leave with out being locked out. 2 days later still not fully checked in. Not quite sure why the process couldn't be taken care of at 12 pm before I got there and wrapped up when I arrived! The staff are rude! Security guard locked my husband out as he was walking up with dinner for our daughters and told him to walk around the hospital. Late at night when it was freezing and he had a 5 yr old w/out a jacket. Staff kept referring to a miscarriage as an abortion. Like putting salt on a wound. Also my baby was sick and throwing up the entire 4 hours and the staff couldn't give us anything to clean up the vomit? Send someone in to clean it? Small room with 3 adults and two small girls for 4 hours covered in vomit! Just trying to sign a few papers to sign in!! Every thing else was taken care of by the first hospital

OK, I've read the only three reviews that are posted for this hospital and like most others, you are most likely to post a negative review than a positive one, that is just human nature. Two posts are on what appears to be "rude personnel" and not the treatment or the hospital. I had major surgery there a few months ago and have only positive things to say about my experience. From the pre-admitting to discharge, I received nothing but excellent treatment and care. The hospital was clean, the staff friendly and helpful and my care was excellent. If necessary, I would return without any second thoughts. A positive attitude and treating people like you want to be treated goes a long way.

I've been seeing my new doctor...

I've been seeing my new doctor, for a year, at Medical Research Center. I do find that my doctor (Radhika Mathur) is very professional and courteous; however, I find that "some" of her staff (persons who call you back" with info and front desk receptionists are not very friendly, and rude by some comments they make, which is evident that have read your medical records. Some of the staff that call you about appointments are not friendly, and lazy (asked for the name of the specialist, but she did not provide a phone number for the doctor except the city where the doctor is located. So unprofessional. Not to mention that she sounded extremely annoyed that she had to actual dial and make the call. I want to know, how are these people employed? I find it very difficult in finding a good doctor with friendly office workers here in KCMO?

VERY UNPREFESSIONAL

I believe the staff at Research Medical Center’s ER is very inexperienced and unprofessional. I say this because I was recently admitted in to their ER facility. I explained to the nurses and the doctor the pain that I was having. After listening to my statement they suggested that I take a urine test. Then after examining my urine sample the Doc. stated what he thought might be the problem. So I asked him if I could get tested for it and he replied yes. After the test was preformed I was given a number to call for a follow-up and I was discharged, with no medication for what he THOUGHT I might have had.

I waited two days and made a follow-up appointment with my Doc. When she had given them a call they said “We did not give her a lab" (urine test), and they tested me for something other than what the Doc. in the ER said I might have. On top of everything I never received my results. So I had to take another painful test. That is why I believe that Research Medical Center’s ER, who is located at 2316 E. Myer Blvd, is very inexperienced and unprofessional.
