1.Things in their store need to have a tag that says, "Works", in order for it to work. Since not actually seeing any myself I can only deduce that a. Nothing in their store works and it's all priced to rip you off, or b. They are in the business of bad business.
2.Employees will not volunteer that information to you, you have to be in the know to know you need to look for tags that say something works. They will just sell it to you hoping you don't know and then Bam! Stuff doesn't work and they've ripped you off.
3.Jessica has no answer for why employees and her store would not advise its customers that things need to have a tag that says it works before spending large amounts of money there. Wonderful business practices.
4.The store does not check on its vendors items to verify working condition or price accuracy. They let their vendors price and sell how they want. Her words, "Some of them (vendors) buy things on ebay and craigstlist, slap a price on them and sell them here."

I was very disappointed with my experience with the RMAM. We found a couch set on craigslist through a vendor that we wanted to purchase. We spoke with the vendor (who was out of town) and were told we could pick up the couch first thing in the morning when they open at 10a. My Husband arrived at 10a with cash in hand to purchase the set as agreed upon, and was told by the store rep that someone called just 15 minutes before (before they were open) and purchased it over the phone. We were not told that the set could be purchased over the phone, especially outside of store hours, and we were not told that we were at risk for losing it.



I would hope RMAM has policies in place with their Vendors so that these situations do not occur. I would also expect them to be honest and ethical in honoring pre-existing agreements.



We purchase furniture often in the West Bottoms, but will not be purchasing through RMAM again.
