I went to the Topsy's in St Joseph Mo several months ago and the butter smelled and tasted rancid. It was so horrible that I threw it away. I was so disappointed because my family loves Topsy's popcorn. So after several months I stopped by again and the lady told me that they had changed it to a soy based butter. I told her about my previous experience and said that I would not longer be buying it because we did not like it at all. I was told that they had been having trouble with the younger workers not changing it out like they were suppose to which is why it tasted so bad. She said that she had just changed out the butter and I ask if I could taste it so she let me try some and it tasted great. I was happy that I could get
Topsy's popcorn again. So today Dec 4, 2016 I went and purchased some popcorn and it was horrible again. I didn't even leave the store when I smelled and tasted it so I took it back to get a refund. I was told they didn't do refunds and they sell that popcorn to customers all day. I left the bag with her and told her to throw it away. I love Topsy's popcorn but if I ever buy it again I will taste the butter before I ever purchase it. I seriously think that it should be routine to change out the soy butter on a regular bases so it doesn't get rancid. It's hard for me to believe that no one else has never complained about this.

Very good popcorn snacks here! They have many options to choose from and are great gifts too! I enjoy coming here for snacks and gift baskets!
