My girlfriend purchased a 2001 Mercury Cougar from Troost Auto Credit aka Kwik Kar Automotive March 2013 paying $500 down & $150 every 2 weeks for 43 payments. This car has a dealer value of $2300. She made 30 payments totaling $5000 before she stopped paying because the car was garbage. In the little over a year she had the car she replaced the starter, alternator & battery. Now you can't drive the car because something is wrong with the brakes, it's like you are riding the brakes all the time. Basically this car has been junk & it has sat unable to be driven half the time she has had it. 'Buy Here, Pay Here' dealers sell cars that they get running well enough to sell, then you are stuck. The people working there were very nice to her (wouldn't you be if you were making 3 times what something is worth?) Places like this take advantage of a LOT of people, but sadly many of them are women that just need to be helped out..and end up getting jacked by a poor product. DO NOT buy from this place!
