The most caring people I have had the pleasure to meet. We have had 4 adopted dogs in the last 27 years. It is 100 percent gratifying. I recommend them without reservation.

I love wayside waifs. They are loving and really care about these animals. Maybe those who are questionable about them should vollunteer for a day. They encourage this and would welcome it.

In response to the person with an allergic son, and saying Wayside only wants your money, I have to say that is NOT TRUE! There are a lot easier ways to make a buck than scooping dog poop, dealing with frightened animals that might bite, and so on. Wayside cannot even break even with the pet adoption fees. Several weeks ago, they dropped their fee to only 25 dollars. Do you have any idea why? Because they have to make room for all the puppies and kittens that will be flooding the shelter this spring. They have to rely on donations from good folks that want to help them stop the suffering of innocent animals.

Be very careful BEFORE signing any contracts with them !!! and I mean ANY. I just adopted a dog from Wayside Waifs and were pleased with the dog, no problems and was great with my daughter while we had him. My Son was gone at the time and we wanted this to be a surprise for him... ended up being an alergic nightmare as we didnt know he was allergic to the dog. I called Wayside Waifs to explain my problem... only to tell me the $145 I spent on adoptling the pet could not be returned since nothing was wrong with the dog. The dog is now at the shelter and was thrown back on their site by the time I got home... so in my opinion... Wayside Waifs ONLY WANTS YOUR MONEY as thwir policies state that refunds can only occur if there is a problem with the animal only... to hell with your own kids. I only had my dog for 2 days. $145 gone down the drain... and no one there seemed to care.

Wayside Waifs keeps the kennels clean; there were always several volunteers around to answer questions, clean up messes,, etc. The staff was very friendly and very into the dogs. I had an excellent esperience with adopting my dog there last April.

The suggestion I have is that you should post the fee for each animal with there information since you have

varying fees instead of a flat fee for all your dogs and cats.
