Manu Mafi Contractors is the worse company I have ever dealt with. Over the years, I've dealt with many contractors but Manu Mafi Contractors are totally unprofessional and incompetent. Furthermore, they ended up breaching the contract forcing me to take them to court. Because of their sloppy work they also “managed” to cause the Dept of Planning and Permitting to place a violation on my house for a building code violation. After violating the building code, they lied to the inspector telling him that I asked them to violate the building code. In addition, they encroached on one of my neighbors’ property and again lied saying that I told them to do so. Manu Mafi’s only concern was to hurry up and do a sloppy job so that they can get paid. They took advantage of the fact that I am a woman living alone, and did not care about the quality of the work that they were doing. They destroyed my brand new AC Condenser and refused to replace it. Initially they agreed to fix it and then they changed their minds after they found out how much is costs. During the construction, they also managed to damage the gutters and splashes. There are huge cracks in the cement pavement that they installed due to the use of poor materials; nothing was built correctly. In addition, they were paid $15,000 to build fences and gates in front of the house and never returned to the job site to start the job. Manu Mafi Contractors have caused a total of $43,000 in damages and unfinished work. You can find all these facts on the Better Business Bureau site under their name where I filed my complained. They were also reported to the Dept of Commerce and Consumer Affairs. Presently their license is in the process of being revoked, they will also be facing other legal repercussions. I am in the process of taking them to Court to get reimbursement for all work they were paid for and never done and the repairs as well as Attorney and Court fees.
