Provided by YP.comI was in outpatient adolescent program when I was 15. I loved the staff and the other patients. There food was amazing. I love the group therapy sessions. It was summer when I was there so I was able to play outside

Provided by YP.comThey are arrogant because they are not used to being challenged. Speak very disrespectfully to patients and known to refuse to release voluntary patients coincidentally until the insurance stops paying. Left worse then when arrived traumatized. Will never go there again.

Provided by YPmobileI understand that the parents who usually need treatment themselves write horrid reviews of how terribly their child was treated or how the hospital or other agencies do illegal stuff with paperwork and stuff. Before you believe something like that ask yourself why was the family member placed in foster care on multiple occasions in the first place. Certainly not because of great and proper parenting.
Now on more serious note, the treatment teams at this hospital are fantastic. Efficient, patient oriented and always trying their best for the patients well being. Professionalism, team work and all in all a good hospital. Beautiful campus.

Provided by YP.comWhen my son was being transferred from Jacobi Medical Center to Four Winds Hospital in Katonah, NY they faxed the transfer papers over to Jacobi for me to sign. The admissions agent, was very rude and tried to rush me into signing them. When they arrived at Jacobi I was concerned because there included a medications list that wasn't discussed with me over the phone. The doctor from Jacobi was concerned as well, as she and several other doctors were helping me to go over the forms. Being that my son was only in the hospital because his foster care agency, that has him temporarily, abruptly stopped the medication that Bellevue put him on and he had an episode. The doctor at Jacobi suggested that I cross out all the medications that I wasn't comfortable with, and I crossed out all of them except for Concerta and Benadryl. The medicines crossed out were Clonicline, Risperdal, and Thorazine - strong medicines that my son had never been on before.
When that medications list arrived at Four Winds somehow it'd been changed so that all of the medications were signed off on. When I complained to my son's doctor she said that she hadn't and wouldn't give my son any medication without my consent. She said she didn't know how the medications list had been changed and sounded very concerned. There were also issues with the contact list being changed, being able to talk to my son over the phone, not being able to talk to my son initially, not being able to visit him for weeks...and then on top of it I overheard the staff at the hospital yelling at my son for not wanting to use the speakerphone to have conversations in front of the other children. My son had an episode and they locked him in seclusion, after it seems they pushed him to it.
Now his doctor claims that she always had him on Risperdal and that she told me so. Also she says that she wants to put him of antipsychotics for his outburst, not taking into account any of the factors that I've just relayed to you. How about that I add on that the same foster care agency (CGS) that placed my son twice in homes where he was molested, and then in a home where the foster parent let him wander around a dangerous neighborhood alone, is now pushing (along with ACS, of course) to have my son placed in a state hospital? Does that not sound fishy to you?
Good thing that I had Jacobi Medical Center make copies for me of all the documents that were sent over to Jacobi. Warning to all the parents out there who've had their children taken unlawfully by the system - take heed of the reviews that you read here from other parents. Hold your babies tight for as long as you can.

Provided by YP.comIt's an absolute dumb. The worst hospitals in NYC are much better. It's ghetto and bottom of the barrel. BE AWARE. Every place in the nation I known of I would rather go then here.

Provided by YP.comThey did not tell me that my son while there had an abnormal EKG result and I find out a month and a half later! I've called several times and not once has someone got on the phone and talked to me. I've left voicemail and still nothing. I will never recommend them and if I don't get answers about my son, I will sue! How do you not contact a mother for any sort of testing especially an abnormal heart test!?!?!

Provided by YP.comJust...........don't ever send your kid here. Unless you want them to blow their brains out before they turn 15

Provided by YP.comThe doctors at this hospital are lacking in compassion and many of the staff members were just obnoxious. Most patients were heavily medicated and the rules were stupid. While the physical setting is beautiful and the food was not bad (hence the two stars), don't be fooled. It is still not a nice place.
