Since moving to Texas I have been looking for a female doctor who takes Medicare. On April the ninth I called to get and appointment with Dr. Zaleta and was told the first opening she had was in May. I explained that my maintenance meds would be running out before then the person I spoke with found a cancelation for the 25th of April so I took that appointment. Today I went to the office gave my name and when the receptionist look me up she said you appointment is for May 1st. I explained about my conversation when making my appointment over the phone and said no it was for today (keep in mind I've been fasting since last night as I was told to do on the day I made my appointment). I explained once again that my meds were now out and I at least needed my blood pressure meds refilled, receptionist went to the back came back out and said they could not even give me a prescription for the few days until the 1st. and that there was no way to work me in today even though it was their mistake. So here I am back home with an apology/ out of blood pressured meds wondering if I should cancel my appointment for the 1st feeling that if this office couldn't fix their mistake today how would I be treated as a regular patient.
