I would advise anyone reading this to avoid Phipps Construction at all costs. They are very DISHONEST! They claimed to have performed work on my house that they never performed. In fact, I had documentation from a different contractor who actually did do the work, but Phipps Construction kept adding fees and charges for work they did not do (and not authorized) to the invoices they sent me. Over the next few months the invoices kept coming with mounting fees and late charges, which I just threw in the trash. I also started to receive threatening letters from Phipps Construction in the mail, which I also threw in the trash. Then... I received a legal notice stating that if I did not pay Phipps Construction the money they were demanding, that I was going to be taken to court, sued, have a contractor's lien placed against my house, etc. I was going to fight it but after looking into the costs of retaining the services of an attorney it just wasn't possible for us to financially go up against a company like Phipps Construction with far more resources than we had. I was making $12 per hour and supporting a family of five so we really felt like we had no options. After much distress, my wife and I reluctantly paid Phipps Construction to get them off our backs.

I do a lot of work in my house andwhen I went to change the dryer vent, I found that when they came to replace the old one that got damaged in the windstorm 11/2 yyears ago they didn't put the pipe all the way through my wall so all the dryer lint was building up in my wall, thus creating a fire hazard. I'm irritated that a company could overlook something so small. Now I wonder what else could be wrong. I'll never use them again if I can help it.

We have used Phipps Construction for not only emergency problems in our home, but for a lot of other projects where we needed expert carpenters, or a plumber, or painters.



We have always found them to be prompt and fair and great to work with.

Leaky main water valve in basement. They came out replaced valve, cleaned up the water and then checked everyday until all the water was gone. They placed probes in walls to make sure everything was dry and no chance of mold.

We used them for basement remodel and were thrilled to have them in our home. Painters are the best.
