Price Gouging Business that uses extortion techniques

Summary: Don’t support this VINDICTIVE BUSINESS, as soon as you become vulnerable, Turners will take advantage of you.

Imagine being out of town and your car is towed without you knowing it. You get back in town, track it down at Turners Body Shop, and they smugly say to either 1) give them $800…or 2) in thirty more days they will automatically get a new title to YOUR CAR and there is NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.
 
You see, Turners has a little contract with the city that allows them to abuse the public. There are no laws limiting the price they can charge for towing, or storage, so they charge you 10X the normal 'storage fee' that you could get at real storage facilities in Kearney. What else would a fine outstanding business do ?
 
-Storage at local storage facilities: $2 per day ($65/month)
-Outrageous parking at the Airport : $6-$7 per day. ($195/mo)
-TURNERS Parking (next to their beat-up building): $20 per day ($600/mo)
-Parking at Disney World in Orlando: $20 per day.

Plus Turners will charge you almost double the normal towing charge (even though they towed it at their convenience). I made a blind phone call to them asking about towing a random vehicle from the same spot to their shop, and they said $100 cash…but they are DEMANDING $200 from me.
 
Once you unfortunately become one of these low-life losers that has your car towed, Co-Owner Barbra Turner will turn from a nice "How can I help you?" customer oriented employee… to a sadistic "Ha Ha, You are screwed, we have your car! " Vindictive Dictator. Barbara Turner seems to think her role is to punish the public for their bad behavior. She gets to dole actually told me that "If you don’t pay our towing/storage fees, before too long the city police will just give us a new title, and then the car is ours" Turners even had the gall to ask me for my key so that they wouldn’t have to make a new one later.
 
Now imagine, that when you go to get your personal items out of THEIR new car, you find the car isn't even in a protected fenced in area, the trunk isn't closed/latched, and some of your personal items are on the ground. What was that exorbitant storage fee for ? And who is responsible for stolen items ? Bobby Turner denies he is responsible for anything.

Now I know there is always the "Devils Advocate" out there that says 'well its your own fault…", OK, but
1) I am willing to pay fair market value for towing and storage. Maybe even a premium
2) Turners willingly entered the business contract with the city,
3) Turners is guaranteed to get paid for their services, why price gouge the public ?
4) Turners is there to provide a service to the public, not to dole out punishment as they see fit.
 
This isn't a case of a bad apple employee that would normally be reprimanded/fired. Barbra TURNER is the Co-Owner that is setting the rules and tone for the whole company, and her brother Bobby Turner feels the same way .
 
This is the type of business that Turners Auto Body/Towing truly is. Don’t bother giving them your business today, because when you are in a jam tomorrow, they will turn vindictive, and squeeze you for all the money they can legally get from you.
 
I have contacted Mary Ridder the current Public Service Commission District. She has confirmed that the public can do nothing but push for new laws against Predatory Towing companies like Turners. I am ...
