Doctors take an oath to do no harm. THANK YOU Musgrave Family Medicine (Dr.'s) for upholding your oath! Doctors are suppose to see sick patients. That is their job, right?

I left my previous Dr. office because they feared I had Covid. They said they were afraid of what the other patients would say if I stayed. (Hippa doesn't allow them to know why I'm there, right?) *shrug*.
I had a semi high temp (I was sitting in an extremely sunny window for about 10 minutes) & a cough (diagnosed as seasonal asthma). They wanted me to go home for a virtual visit. You see, I went in to have a recheck and make sure everything was in good shape after using antibiotics. I was still having the symptoms so I asked how they intended to look in my ears to make sure everything was healed. No common sense was used there.

I left and called another office and they too were afraid to see me after asking Covid questions over the phone. I guess I could have lied and not answered truthfully but that isn't me.

I tried Musgrave Family Medicine and guess what? NO covid questions over the phone! I walked in afraid I would be shamed for not wearing a mask. I was greeting with a sunny smile (seen because she had no mask on) and no request if I had a mask or needed one. (^_^)

When the nurse came in, I could see her face and I felt so much more at ease. Being able to see her face and the Doctor's face made me feel I could trust them and feel at ease when discussing my needs.

It's important to feel comfortable with your Doctor and nurses. It helps to build a foundation of trust and know I don't need to feel I must hide what is wrong with me because of how I may be treated.

My blood pressure was higher than the Dr liked and I told him why it was high. I was worried about being humiliated or embarrassed.

Thank you again Musgrave Family Medicine for remembering that patients are humans and need to be treated with respect.

I think I've found my forever Dr. office.
