Provided by YP.comTook the family down to Kemah for the weekend. Scheduled an evening cruise with Sail Ventures to get the kids and I some time out on the water. The experience was much more than expected. Captain Evan Macaluso was great. He is very professional and very knowledgeable. He got all of us involved in the sailing of the boat which was a huge treat. Watching the smiles on the kids faces as they took the helm or cranked the wench was worth every penny but it didn't stop there. The boat we sailed on was a brand new Beneteau 34 and was very clean and well maintained.. It had all of the comforts of home including a/c and even a flat screen TV. Cap.t Evan's passion for sailing and his knowledge and experience in the Galveston bay area were very obvious as he was a wealth of knowledge about local landmarks, water ways and the local birds and wildlife. He kept us engaged the whole time we were out and my only complaint was that we were having so much fun the time seemed to pass very quickly. I can easily see myself joining the Sail Ventures club based on the brief experience we had. If you are into sailing already or if you are interested in getting into sailing, I highly recommend you check out Sail Ventures in Kemah, TX.
Hello Steven, Thank you for your kind words. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed having Brandon and Lee on board. My main reason for getting into this business was to share my passion for sailing with other and to plant that seed into the minds of kiddos their age is a blessing for me. The smile on their faces and the look on their faces as their eyes light up to see a porpoise swim up next to the boat or a pelican dive down for its meal was just priceless. I couldn't help but notice the smile on your face as well. You have a great couple of kids there and it was a real pleasure watching them learn the basics of sailing and seamanship. I hope that you will continue to nurture their passion for the sea. I think little Lee is hooked! Call me when they get settled back into school and we can discuss getting your guys started in our fractional yacht club. The Fall months are some of the best months for sailing here in Kemah as the winds are more consistent and temperatures drop significantly. Until then, I can't wait to see you back on the water.
