My experience was horrible. To...

My experience was horrible. To begin with when I walked in, no one greeted me. I was the only customer in the waiting area. There were 2 employees working; one finishing up with a male customer who was part of the Kemah Fire Department and another who was drinking her coffee from McDonald's standing towards the back of the salon. After about 5 minutes the lady drinking her coffee decides to tell me to "come on back". I came back and I told her how I wanted to cut my hair. I have thick long hair down to about 1 inch below my shoulder blades. I told her I wanted to keep my length and straighten up my layers; I have long layers that were textured and shaped around my face with side swept bangs. Pretty simple really. Then she doesn't offer to wash my hair (I mentioned she should wash it before we began) and takes the bulk of my hair from the crown of my head and began to cut! I told her I don't think that was the correct way to cut my layers, and attempted to tell her the way I part my hair and explain there are bangs in there. She said "that's okay, it doesn't effect the cut." Are you serious? The way I part my hair doesn't matter? Well she cuts my hair within 5 minutes. She then continues to tell me that she is done! Excuse me? She didn't trim my bottom, my middle layers, my bangs.... any of it!! I explained this to her as well. She said that the layers didn't need it! (I haven't cut my hair since September 2011... its 5 months later). I told her I was pretty sure it needed to be cut and she assured me it didn't. I then told her I still think it needed to be washed. She told me it would be extra and I told her that was fine. When she washed my hair she didn't shampoo well, didn't even get behind my ears. Then when she put the conditioner in, she didn't even let it sit for 30 seconds and rinsed with hot water! This is basic stuff I'm asking her to do here. Anyone with long hair knows, you let your conditioner set for 1-2 minutes and rinse with cool to luke warm water. Basically I left the salon and I went straight to my normal salon where they actually know how to cut hair. It took me another $58 and 5.5 inches of my hair to fix to horrible hack job this lady did to my hair. In conclusion, not only do I think she should not have her hair license, but Super Cuts needs to screen their employees better. There was no reason for her to ruin my hair that way. There was no reason for me not to be greeted as I arrived at the store. There was no reason for her to not know how to condition hair. I truly feel this was not only a horrible experience but that no one else should have to go through the trauma of having to cut 5.5 inches off of your hair involuntarily.
