I've been going to El Manantial for quite a while now and I always experience great food and friendly waitstaff. My favorite is the Gorditos Plate and I also love the guacamole. This is the best Mexican food on the lake as far as I'm concerned!!

On first approaching the front entrance of this restaurant one immediatedly notices all the carbage near the front door. The owner had been told about it by customers several times, but refuses to clean up (a simple 10-15 minute clean-up). The owner is basically unfriendly to customers. Only seems to cater to fellow Mexican patrons. The food is not the same in quality and portion on a day to day basis. If you buy drinks during "Happy Hour" expect them to be watered down. When you find a good server, they seem not to last long in this place. Overall this place is typical of the eating places on Cedar Creek lake, so-so food, small amounts, high prices and bad service. Best advice is in coming to the lake...eat at home and enjoy the water.

We've been to every Mexican place around the lake. This one is awesome! The inside is warm & inviting. The food is delicious! And the staff is very friendly. We found our new place!
