Since a zero rating isn't an option, I'm stuck with a 1.

As a Critical Care Nurse of almost 20 year I have a very refined BS detector. I went into this place of business to have my radiator flushed and have the antifreeze topped off. The engine had been running a little warm ( the guage was a little to the right of center and never approached the red area.) so you can imagine my surprise when the mechanic came out, with official clipboard in hand, and told me my engine had severe heat damage and would need at least $3000.00 repair work at the minimum. Huge RED Flag. They took me to the back and showed me that, yes indeed my engine my was running very hot. The guage was now at the top of the red zone.



I felt my BS detector going off at full power. I told them to finish the agreed upon job ( flushing the radiator and filling it up with antifreeze.) After several dire warnings they agreed to our original deal. I paid the price and pulled off their lot. I barely went 3 blocks and the temperature guage shot up. Thankfully I lived only 5 more blocks away. I pulled into my driveway and the temperature guage was maxed out. As I debated my options and let the engine cool, a thought occurred to me; check the radiator when it was cooled off. I did. It was empty!!!! They let me drive off without a drop of antifreeze in my car. Had I gone any further I would have created the very damage they wanted thousands to repair. Now to be fun fair, I wanted to verify that I didn't have a major antifreeze leak. Luckily, I had some at home. I filled up the radiator, capped it off, turned the engine on...... It warmed up and the heat guage went back to just a little bit above the center line. Looking under the car, not a drop of antifreeze on the ground. I drove it around my neighbourhood for 30 mins, the engine ran slightly warm but the temperature guage never went any higher. I was back to base line.



Took my car to a local garage that had excellent word of mouth ( Kennesaw Tire Company) and they replaced the thermostat for less than $200.00 and my BMW ran perfectly until the day I traded it in a year later. When they did the trade in inspection, I asked about the engine, it was in great condition and I got top dollar for my trade in value.



Draw your own conclusions. But I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this scam garage.

I'm with everyone else, if I could do a zero review I would. This place totally rips people off. They do unnecessary work, over charge, and are slick fast talkers. Do yourself a favor and stay clear.

I have used this place 5 times in the last 6 years and each time I have had a bad experience. Each time I swore it would be my last. But I kept trying to give them another chance because it's the closest repair shop to my house and because I didn't have the time (on those occasions) to go to my regular trusted mechanic. The last time was three months ago, and it is THE LAST. My car needed to pass emissions test and the check engine light was on. And boy, did they take full advantage! I got a list of MUST DO repairs. I was in a hurry, it was a Friday, I was going out of town, and had no time for second opinions. Long story short - $1500 and three return visits later, problem still not fixed. Each time I returned, new "problems" found. I finally went back to my mechanic, and he took care of it for $75 in less than an hour! Go figure! Either they are totally incompetent or they are out to rip folks off. Either way, keep driving. This review will be a ZERO if the option exists.

This place is horrible. I use to take my car there for oil changes and simple repairs. Apparently there is a new general manager. Everything is up-sell. I go in for an oil change, the GM comes in with a concern look and said my battery almost dead and ask if I would like to buy one for a ridiculous price. I said no thanks. I get in my car, all my radio preset are gone, clock is wrong. I get home open my hood and one of my covers to a compartment is missing. While fishing around for something else to replace, they forgot to replace the cover. I go back to the shop, the GM says ok, give him a day to look for it and if he can't find it he'll order another one. Fair enough. Three weeks later, 4 phones calls, 3 onsite visits, no return call and still no cover. The part was always 'coming tomorrow on the next shipment of parts'. I called the GM on Tuesday morning; he tells me the part would be in the shop Wednesday morning. I call Wednesday afternoon and the GM is out of town! No one has any knowledge of my issue, no paperwork. I have to tell my story all over again. Three days later, I finally get my cover. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

I was recommended by a friend and they were right, I Had excellent service Americas service station. I will go back next time I am in the area. they were very courteous.

I've been to this store before and was not completely satisfied. They did good work but the my overall experience was under par. I decided to give them another shot since learning about the managment change and I have to say the store did a complete 180. Everyone was extremely helpful and did my repairs perfectly in a timely manner. If all my experiences are going to be as good as this one America's Service Station will be my only repair shop.
