Many parade I n the guise of a skilled and knowledgeable gunsmith. Based on my many years as a recreational shooter, I have yet to find a gunsmith truly worthy of the title. That opinion changed with my experience in the Deer Creek Gun Shop in Marietta Ga. My handgun a 357 magnum revolver decided to retire. The crain and extractor bent. The range suggested a “gunsmith” some 40 miles away. Douglasville. Needless to say after two failed attempts and 160 miles later, I was left with an empty pocket and expensive paper weight. I recalled a pleasant experience a number of years ago at the Deer Creek Gun Shop. I brought the handgun in for a gunsmith evaluation. Could not have made a wiser decision. A week later the gun was returned in almost new condition. It functioned flawlessly. The work was done with a smile and a reasonable price. Could not ask for more. The shop is family owned and managed. Unlike many gun stores the customer is not viewed as a country bumpkin to be treated with benign indifference. I recommend this shop for its warmth, integrity and knowledge and gunsmith skill.
