I used to order takeout from Hong Kong Star right up until the time I got deathly ill from food poisoning. At the time, I was 57 years old and had never, ever in all of my years of dining out had a case of food poisoning. I got ill within hours of eating fried rice which I now understand is a major proponent of food poisoning if not cooked properly. One of my friends had told me never to eat there because they leave their peppers and vegetables outside of the restaurant in the back ( I guess to ripen). It is a shame because the atmosphere and decor in the restaurant is really nice. Later, I saw where they had a health score of 49! Ouch!! Needless to say, I will never go back.

We order from here at least every other week. They're consistent, fast and delicious. I'm sorry some others had a bad experience. We've been loyal customers for over 10 years, and it's been one of our go-tos on a busy week night.

This place is terrible! How can a Chinese restaurant survive with bad fried rice. On top of that the lady owner is rude. Do not eat there.

On thursday, 2/20/14, I ordered from Hong Kong. It was my second time eating there. Three hours later, I was hugging my toilet throwing up everything I ate. I ordered shrimp lo mein with the spring rolls. I have now been suffering with food poisoning for three days. I missed work on friday and will probably miss work tomorrow. Dont eat here!!!! Save yourself and your family the teouble of getting sick. I got food poisoning and so did my boyfriend.
