I have suffered from low back pain since the birth of my last child 6 years ago. Medical drs. said I had nerve damage from a botched epidural and prescribed Percocet for years. Pain got worse and worse. Went to a Chiropractor... No help. Got a massage by Holly Kelsey at LaVida.... CURED!! I have been seeing Holly for several months now. The first few were so painful as she broke up the tightness in my hips, upper thighs and shoulders. She taught me what stretches that I needed to do to help in "flattening and smoothing" my muscles so they can stop being in constricted protection mode. After a few 90 minute sessions the pain started to go away. then I could go a full week without pain, then 2 weeks, now I am up to 4 weeks and counting. I truly believe that she alone literally CURED my chronic back pain. I am medication free and pain free. I even feel taller, thinner and happier. Holly books up way in advance, so if you can get in, start with at least 90 or more and let her figure out what is actually causing your pain and get on a rotating schedule! If I could go back, I would have done at least 2, 2 hour sessions in the very beginning then scale back instead of starting small and then working up to a 90 min. Holly's goals are to actually FIX your problem not make you come back over and over agin. But I admit I really love seeing her! I refer anyone who is serious about actually getting their pain fixed. She specializes in deep tissue sports massage and regularly works on professional athletes, trainers & others who need serious help. Yes she can give the usual "relaxation" type massage, but that is a waste of her talents. If you have chronic pain, go see Holly, drink your water, stretch daily and do what she tells you. You will be pain free for life! :) thank you Holly! Also, the owners are crazy nice too!! ;) UPDATE: 10/01/2015 STILL no back pain!!!
