Wonderful service, highly recommend!

Reading the review that was previously posted for this electrician I had almost NOT called them. But after some thinking, I decided, what the hay, I needed someone out to check some wiring and fix my electrical issues asap, so. A bit of history, about a week ago, my house decided it was going to audition for a part in the Exorcist or something, lights were going crazy, sparks shot out of my stove, breakers refused to stay on, it was just bad. Really, really bad. we called several places, the only ones we could get through to as it was after 5, said it sounded like we dropped a leg into the house and to call the power company. So we called Benton PUD and they came and checked and said nope, both legs were fine, and to call an electrician in the morning. So we did, only to be told it was a dropped leg. Called another, they said the same. Called a third, they told us it was space heaters and a dropped leg. THERE ARE NO SPACE HEATERS IN MY HOUSE. No one would listen and all wanted to pawn it off on Benton PUD. We finally called Allan Electric, and at first, they agreed it was a dropped leg, but they sent someone anyways at our request, because, well it's a manufactured home and we'd rather not burn it down. Within moments he found the problem, we had lost the 240 side of our main, it was completely burnt out. There was also a 110 15-Amp breaker that was pretty well burnt out as well. It should have been an easy repair, however, due to the house being an early 90's home, they had used a Westing House circuit box and Westing House had gone out of business shortly after the house was made, so thee were no replacement parts. We would need the entire circuit box replaced, no getting around it. They explained that if we opted out of this, we had about 1 week, 2 if we were really lucky, left on the main before it fully burnt out and that we could get by with running 1 240 appliance, but not more than that, at a time. We opted for the heater, being it is still very cold out and there are several children in the house. We looked up the going rate for a repair like this and were dismayed to see it was on average, a $1500-$2500 repair. Allan Electric, though, being the good people they are, quoted us $1000. We were thrilled and thought this too good to be true. But when we called the main office, they told us, "If that's what my guy quoted you, that's what we will stick with." This was on Wednesday or Thursday I believe. Fast forward, they ordered the parts needed, but there was some delay in the shipping and they were unable to be here Monday morning as planned. They let us know, did not hide anything or sugar coat it at all, told us they had a big job they needed to do on Tuesday and asked if Wednesday would be alright. Not that we had much choice, it wasn't their fault the part didn't arrive on time, so we agreed, Wednesday it would be. For the life of me, I cannot remember the gentleman's name that came out, but he was here bright and early about a quarter to nine Wednesday morning. He set straight to work and after everything was hooked up, labeled, and working again, he was done at about 2 pm (give or take). He even swept my laundry room floor from the slight mess he had had to make to get the new box installed. He stayed later and answered all of my questions and never once made me feel like I was stupid for not knowing about electrical work, unlike some of the people we'd dealt with over the last week. He was courteous and really went the extra mile for us and we can't thank him and everyone at Allan Electric enough. I would recommend them to EVERYONE who is in need of electrical work. At the very least, give them a shout, see if they can do what you need done. The price is right, the service is superb, and honestly, I don't think I would go with anyone else after having worked with them.

Light Switch

Dear Mr. Light switch, Did you mention that you are owner of commercial property ~restuarant actually~ (thus your customer refered you) and Commercial Grade Switches for your type of application is quite expensive.

Look Elsewhere

I recently had Allan Electric change out a light switch at my place of business. They charged me $213.90. The job was not after-hours. Ridiculous.
