Opened in 1978, Canyon View Elementary School holds classes for more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school provides a flexible academic program with emphasis on the development of basic learning and thinking skills. Its support faculty consists of a nurse, speech pathologist, paraeducator and psychologist. Canyon View Elementary School has a parent-teacher organization that provides an opportunity for discussion of mutual concerns of parents and teachers and to promote communication with the school and community. The elementary school has a library that offers a collection of Internet resources, books, magazines and newspapers. Canyon View Elementary School is a part of the Kennewick School District and is located in Kennewick, Wash.
