That it sucked. Any place of business that would fire an employee who was off the clock, saw a woman assaulted and called the police in an attempt to help the woman, then has her boss fire her for not following procedure (telling a boss) is NOT a place of business I would go to and I would tell everyone I knew about how this company treats their employees.

Your employee was reacting to a bad situation in the best way she knew of and that was to contact the police. Why any boss would fire her because she didn't tell a boss about it first (time was of the essence in this case), should lose their job first and the employee who called the police should be having people thank her instead of cutting off her means of survival, especially in this economy. How telling a boss first would help this situation is beyond me, unless the boss has a huge ego & wanted all the kudos for themselves.

Lucky Bridge Casino majorly screwed this one up. I think they should re-hire that employee with not only a huge apology, but a raise would be a nice beginning in the humbling process that they owe to this employee.
