Washington State Patrol is a full-service statewide law enforcement agency that employs a staff of more than 2,000 troopers and sworn officers. It is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The agency s patrol division is accredited by the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC). Washington State Patrol has an honor guard that marches in parades, conducts funerals for officers and their family members and attends funerals for area officers killed in the line of duty. It offers services related to road and travel conditions, vehicles and inspections, commercial vehicle law enforcement, concealed weapons and seat belt laws.
