The food is great. Tamales are to die for.

The food is incredible!!! I'm so glad Kenosha has a real authentic Mexican restaurant!!!!!

Ever heard of a Migada? Not Miyagi, as in Mr. Miyagi from the Karate Kid, but Migada! It's a grilled corn patty, sliced in half and filled with your choice of beef, pork, chorizo, asado, or chicken. At La Fe Cafe, they make their Migadas as they are ordered, so you are served a fresh, hot, and wonderfully tasty Migada.



I ordered a pork Migada meal and boy was it a meal! The Migada was about 6 or 7 inches in diameter. The corn patty was crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The pork filling was moderately spicy and oh so delicious! If the Migada wasn't enough, my meal also included a side of seasoned rice, refried beans, as well as lettuce and tomato.



Based on my visit, the meal was fresh, rustic, and warmed-your-belly. The menu listed many other tempting dishes, which I will be trying over the course of my next several visits.



If you appreciate authentic Mexican cooking, you must try this cafe.

Just had a FANTASTIC lunch at this new authentic Mexican restaurant. The food is outstanding! I had the chicken chimichanga which had tender shredded chicken and beans in a flakey crispy crust topped with sour cream and guacamole on the side. The atmosphere is very bright and cheery. The staff friendly and knowledgable. Prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely be back again. If you live anywhere between Milwaukee and Chicago, you should definitely check out this Mexican jewel in Kenosha.
