Provided by YP.comWhen we bought our house, we have seat windows with no cushions. They are large seat areas. For my daughters room, I got a super thick foam (I provided the ridiculously expensive upholstery fabric) and less thick foam for the master bedroom. The quality of work is excellent and it looks so great in each of these windows. Although I went w/ less foam for the master, it is still very firm and very nice. These cushions are so much nicer than any that I grew up with. Going back soon to have our lousy couch cushions re foamed. I am not fat but this new couch needs better cushions. Can't wait.

Provided by YP.comI visited the store to pick a foam to line a case I had purchased for sensitive equipment. I picked the foam and explained how I would like it installed, then I was given a quote for material and installation. I was told that it should be done in a day and they took my phone number, saying they would call when it was finished. Three days later, I called them and was told that it wasn't done yet. I was not in a big rush so I said ok just calll when you finish. A week later I went to the shop with the intention of just taking the case back and going elsewhere to get the job done, because I had not recieved a call. I was told that the job was complete when I arrived and asked for my case. The work was shoddy at best and when I said so the guy at the counter acted like he didn't care. They charged me for a full sheet of material and when I asked about any leftover, to try to cover some of their poor work, he brought out a piece and said it was my excess. I measured it plus what was in the case, and came up about 400square inches short of the sheet I paid for. these guys are crooks, don't deal with them

Provided by YP.comAfter we remodeled our house the fabric on our dining room chairs looked dingy and worn. We were looking for a low cost solution to getting them reupolstered. We stopped in at Foam Rubber City and talked to Earl. We brought in one of our chairs and he looked them over. He thoroughly explained everything that had to be done to make them look good. He told me if I removed all the old fabric first it would be less expensive since that was a time consuming part of the project. It really was since there were so many staples in the original cushions. After I took all the fabric off I decided to refinish the wood. When that was done I took all the chairs and the fabric my wife bought to Earl. He told us it would take two weeks since he was busy with prior projects. That was okay since we were going on vacation anyway. Well, a week later he called and said they were done! We picked them up when we got back and they looked terrific. Earl replaced all the foam and webbing and the chairs look better than new. We will definately use Foam Rubber City for our next upolstery project.

Provided by YP.comI am a repeat customer and have been coming to this store for years for all of my upholstery needs. It is just a little store in Kent and they have been in business--probably decades. The owner, Earl, is always helpful and friendly and is willing to either do the upholstery or coach you through a do-it-yourself project. After shopping around at the big expensive furniture stores for quality upholstery fabrics I always come back to this little place. It is not fancy, keeping the overhead low, but in return they can give the best prices on fabrics and work. The workmanship of upholstery is better than outstanding and I am so happy with it. They have also done some work for our boat.
I recently had my 1980's kitchen chairs reupholstered (since I have not been able to find comfortable replacements), and they are just like new! I also had 2 1973 living room chairs redone (they matched our set and I would not give them up) and they are BETTER than new.
If you have any furniture that is a combination of wood and material, the little business in the same building (I think it is called Oak Tree) can refinish the wood after the furniture has been stripped of the old material. The refinisher, Ken Noon, has also been there for --decades?-- and turns beat-up antiques into masterpieces. He also restored my neighbors 30 year old kitchen cabinets and saved her the cost of replacing them.
There are not many of these little shops left, and it is a pity.
