Founded in 1963, Park Orchard Elementary serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The school operates a student council that organizes various school events, such as a canned food drive, teacher appreciation, Litter Patrol and Special Days. It organizes various activities, Christmas parades, monthly birthday and honor roll parties, spring festival penny drives and parent involvement programs. In addition, Park Orchard Elementary offers the English as a Second Language and special education programs to gifted and talented students. The school s facilities include a cafeteria, library and media center and science laboratory. Located in Denver, it is a part of the Kent School District.
