Located in Greensboro, N.C., The Piedmont Triad Council of Governments is a regional council and a voluntary association of municipal and county governments that is enabled by state law to promote regional issues. The association serves more than 45 member governments in Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph and Rockingham counties in North Carolina. It supports the Area Agency on Aging, which plans, develops, implements and coordinates various aging services. The Piedmont Triad Council of Governments offers emergency medical services. In addition, the association provides management services and technical assistance that offers professionalism, external objectivity and clarity to problems of public administration.
