We visited Rivernook Campground over the 4th of July holiday for 5 days. We were a group of 3 partial hookup sites and our families had a blast. Our sites were along the little creek which offered much relief from the heat especially since the river was too strong to venture into especially with little ones.

The staff at check-in was super busy but still retained a friendly and welcoming attitude and would stop and say hi as they drove by throughout our trip.

There were some issues we experienced that were not very pleasant, such as the 1 shower stall in each of the 2 buildings that barely trickled water. My luck of the draw both times because the shower facilities were busy both times. Also, during the middle of the trip, one of the shower facilities had plumbing issues and had to be closed down so everyone flocked to the 1 remaining shower facilities that contained 4 shower units. Because there were so many people using the showers, the hot water ran out and was startling cold but I didn't mind that too much.

I was surprised that there were not more actual restroom facilities for the size of the campground. There were port-a-potties available and surprisingly clean for such a busy weekend.

The campaign ground contains fairly spacious sites and we saw facilities coming around cleaning up vacant sites throughout our stay.

The campground hosted a little parade our first night there for 4th of July and people walking and in golf carts started a procession from the office throughout the camp sites with glow sticks, microphones, music and more. The little ones really enjoyed watching that!

Despite some unforeseen issues that came up, we had a great time and already booked our sites for next year. I think this will be our new summer camping spot and look forward to the continued improvements they make there.
