The system set up for new contact lens wearers here seemed strange and drawn out. After the exam was done the facility requests you to come back multiple times for the doctor to 'see how the contacts are going'. They won't give you your prescription til you attend these appointments. Also the doctor had to change contact prescription after he previously had done and exam already a few weeks prior. In my experience doctors usually get a prescription right on the first try..This change in prescription subsequently led to the doctor prescribing contacts that are 3 times more expensive than the original prescription would have cost. Everyone can't afford super expensive contacts so can't cost be an issue that doctors discuss during the process? I have been to an eye doctor who worked inside a chain store with and optometry department and have been asked what are the most important factors to me.
