Set on Blackwater Sound, this laid-back dive resort is 2 miles from the snorkeling and boat tours at the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Casual accommodations range from unfussy rooms with colorful decor, to airy apartments with porches and hammocks overlooking the water. All have TVs, fridges and microwaves; some include kitchens and dining tables. Snorkeling gear and equipment storage are complimentary. I really enjoyed my stay at the Amoray dive resort. Though we had a leak in our bathroom, we had a really good time. I went there with a group, and it wasa blast! (they put up with us) The pool was awesome (very, very, warm, comfortable waters+ enough space). The diving program was really cool and I found the reef completely stunning, the dive rentals where Okay. the rooms were cozy and comfy, and the theme was pink. I had a great view of the beach from my room and enjoyed sitting on beach chairs on the shore line watching seagulls and marine life behind the hotel during my down time. It has a lagoon full of animlas, though others loved it, I really didn't. But, thouroughly, if you wnat to experience the Florida Keys to its fullness, then viset this resort. It's comfortable, affordable, and has a very, very beachy tone in every perspective!
