Over booked at this marina.
Boat slips are rented to the first person who shows up and wants a boat slip regardless if you booked in advance and told them you were bringing your boat.
You can have many people and children at your RV site at any time of the day or night while you trudge your scuba gear, fishing rods and kayaks to the other side of the grounds to launch your water craft off a dirt road.
Many additional class C RVs jammed into the lot making loading/unloading your things from your vehicle difficult.
No free kayak launch unless you want to carry your kayak up the street to the free public sand/rock launch off site. Yhe kayak operation on site may help you launch your kayak if you tip them.
You can park your boat trailer in the tiny lot across the street but don’t use the large lot adjacent to the tiny lot because an old man will let you know that it is “military property”. Only certain people and his friends can use this lot for his party that went on until after 3:00 AM.
Don’t use the adjacent vacant land next door either because they aren’t friends of Geiger Marina either.
No electrical panel cover on the adjacent electrical fuse box next to the RV and tiki hut and exposed wiring on the ground under the tiki hut immediately were you would exit your boat near the water hose.
The RV unit was leveled on rusted jacks on top of small broken pieces of different sized brick and pavers (one round one) making the unit sway as you walked around in it. Felt just like being on the boat all day under windy conditions.
No barbequing on premises.
No ice or drinks (no store in office) unless you want to purchase it from the marina restaurant or the soda vending machine.
No boat fuel.
No dock carts.
No pets unless you live there.
Open air marina restaurant allows for smoking.
Many RV units and boat slips rented to people who work on or nearby Geiger Key.
Many candy wrappers and cigarette butts littered the grounds.

Jess was our guide kayaking. She was excellent! She was knowledgeable. She was helpful. She taught us quite a bit about the ecosystem.

Love living here. Cleanly and friendly. No money business tolerated!!

I was a little unsure at first I saw the review after I had reserved our spot. After staying there I felt I should come back to write my review. We had a wonderful time our site was right on the water and also included our own tiki hut with table. Everyone was very friendly and the locals made you feel welcome. We were a little hesitant about leaving our stuff out but all the locals reassured us that they never have an issue. After doing so we felt very safe that nothing would be taken or messed with it. Geigers was different from other rv places that have a ton of small rv sites and a million people are packed in this place wasn't like that the sites were huge and spacious. Our 11year old son had a blast fishing from the sea wall day and night and it is a beautiful place to kayak and fish. Couldn't have asked for better and will deff. go back.

We where heading back from key west stop by to grab lunch it was great food, very relaxed and peaceful environment.
