I bought a used 2006 Yamaha Road Star XV1700A in late May 2013. I have taken it only to Midwest Motorsports in Kieler, Wisconsin. I have had two visit/sexperiences there:

1). When I took it there for a full fluid & filter change, they overfilled my engine oil & the oil level was at least 2-3 times higher than it should have been.

2). When I asked them about the engine oil being too full, they instructed me to bring it back & they’d “fix it”. When the service was completed, they called me to pick up my bike. When I arrived, I discovered that my bike had a huge dent on the top of the gas tank!!! Of course no one had any idea how it happened, that it was probably like that when I dropped it off, and made up a million other excuses of how the fuel pump imploded the tank, etc. When I questioned the general manager about it, his response was “no matter whose fault it was, no one in their right mind would spend $1,000 on a 7 yr old bike!” No reparations have been made whatsoever.



Long story short, save yourself a lot of time, hassle, & damage to your powersport equipment…go somewhere else other than Midwest Motorsports in Kieler, Wisconsin!!!
