Rude, incompetent staff gives UPS a bad name.

it's a basic custom packing and shipping store - not too much to say but yes, you get full service here. Someone came out to my car and carried my stuff in the store for me, which I really appreciated because I just had back surgery.

Take a look around this store. There are no signs anywhere that explain the services offered by this business and more importantly - the price of those services. This sort of business model usually screams SCAM through my central nervous system and in this case, my instincts where right. Imagine going to a grocery store where none of the items have prices on them and the only way to find out the item's price is to go through the checkout??? That is what this store is like, and now - the reason.



Search the web and discover that UPS stores are allowed to add convenience surcharges at their own discretion (140% surcharge at one NY store) above and beyond USPS prices. When you are done doing that, simply walk across South Kihei Road and take your items to the post office.



I do not mind paying more for a good service, especially if it saves me time and makes my life easier. Don't try to trick me into it though. The lady working the counter was courteous and professional. She promptly refunded my money, but her response indicated that I wasn't the first person to feel duped in this establishment.



Never again UPS store! Good luck with that whole dishonest business practices thing you got going over there.

I do all my faxing here for my cleaning business, and I have a mailbox, and I have sent stuff from here too. I have always felt that the pricing was totally fair, the service is super fast and everyone is friendly. I always feel like I get a fair price, and it's so convenient to be able to accomplish so many things in one place and it has a totally happy vibe - which is hard to find in businesses these days! Thanks UPS for making me feel appreciated :)

I bought a kite board in Maui to use in Maui. The airlines wanted $135 to fly it back to Colorado. So, I stop by the UPS store in Kihei a few days before leaving Maui and I give them the dimensions of box and the weight. They tell me it will cost $40. So, the day of departure I bring it back to the UPS store in Kihei and they tell me it's $50. I ask them why and they said the box was irregular shape. It was irregular because one side of the box had a very slight bend in it because the cardboard was creased. If you laid the 54 inch long, 18 inches wide,3 inch thick, 9 lb box down on a flat surface the end of the box was about 3/4 of an inch higher than the flat surface. At first I thought she was joking with me. But she was serious. So the extra $10 was because the cardboard had a crease in it and it had a slight warp in the box. If I had more time, I would have taken it to the USPS a few doors away, but I had to catch a plane. I will never go back to this UPS store again.
