Provided by YP.comI loved it, not only did you get your normal fill of seafood there's a lot of specialty dishes made up so your not just peeling shrimp and cracking crab legs. Pastas and casseroles. Big selections and the staff was very friendly. Nice dinning experience but still laid back beach attitudes. Nice sports bar attached w a very knowledgable bartender up to date with the latest drinks and a few of his own. Will return every year I do!

Provided by YPmobileMy fiancé and I can't really say anything good, I would never recommend to anyone! Oysters Rockefeller , where were the oysters?? Only cheeses and spinach! Crab dip was oily and tasted fishy. Drinks were watered down and than we waited almost an hour for a medium rare burger! Lets just say it was hard and chewy with a horrible stale bun. Never again !!

Provided by YP.comCaptain George's was crowded and a hectic environment to eat because, as a buffet, people were constantly running back and forth to get more food. It was $35 for an adult's buffet meal, which was far too expensive considering the quality of the food. I ate scallops, which were passable. The mac n' cheese was bland. And the Greek desserts were not authentic, regardless of what this website's description might say. There are many restaurants in the Outer Banks that provide more bang for your buck than Captain George's.

Love Captain George's!!!! The only one we haven't been to is Myrtle Beach. Great service and atmosphere. At that price, though, needs to have lobster tails on the food bar.

My family and I ate at the one in Kill Devil Hills July 25th (Sunday) for lunch. We found it to be a wonderful buffet with a great variety from the traditional fried to the spicy. The desserts may be from a box but the selection and taste was very good. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was great. Our waiter was very attentive. Our youngest is not a seafood fan and ordered chicken strips which he declared very good. We plan to return when we make our annual trip to the outer banks.

the "butter" on the bar is that cheap marjorine, everything is made with mayonnaise. very cheap. the deserts come from a box and they were cited by the health department for food temp problems and cleaning wild game in the kitchen. the regional manager allows his children to run through the kitchen with the family dog. Dont eat here for your own health benefit.

Food was great; especially she crab soup. Service was great !! Servers and greeters were very personable. Seafood was as good as I have had at Nags Head. Enjoyed it!

We enjoyed our last day at the beach on Sunday, September 6. We went to lunch right at noon when Captain George's opened for lunch service. They have something on the bar for anyone. Our kids enjoyed "regular" food as well as seafood. We enjoyed all of the foods on the buffet from she crab soup, crab legs, 7 salads bar, prime rib and a tremendous dessert buffet. I do have to say that their macaroni and cheese was awesome. It is now Tuesday and I can still "taste" the food from Sunday! It was delish and the best seafood buffet we have been to. I would reccomend this place as a splurge meal to anyone. The restaurant was beautiful.

We were glad to a new buffet on the Banks. The food was very good and our server was great. It gets packed pretty quick so expect a short wait. The building is very nice and all the booths in the bar area have tv's which the kids liked. We recommend it to anyone and would not hesitate to go back.

Two of us ate here on May 29th about 8pm. The service was very slow and poor, we had to stop someone every time we needed, we were not "checked" on one time. The buffet had several "empty pans" that were not refilled or removed. The quailty of the food was very, very disapointing considering this was a seafood restaurant at the beach. The floor had at one point something spilled on it that was not fully cleaned up leaving the floor very slick. Less than an hour after we left the restaurant we both became sick to our stomach. Only the fact that we did try to eat and enjoy a new restaurant kept me from refusing to pay. As we told our local friends, "SAVE YOUR MONEY!!"

My husband and I were vacationing at Kill Devil Hills for the first time and came across this restaurant the first day. They had just opened up before Memorial Day 2009. We were very impressed with the decor, the staff, and the food was out of this world!! We had the buffet. There were several selections of seafood, chicken, beef, side dishes and desserts. We couldn't get enough. This restaurant is on our list for future visits.Definitely a must stop.
