Having purchased a number of properties over the years, this may have been the best experience I've had. Laurie took time on multiple weekends (sometimes 4 to 5 hours each day) to show us over 50 properties. Beyond that, she was able to give insight about neighborhoods, locations, etc. that you wouldn't know otherwise. Based on the time and care she took, we ended up finding the perfect second home for my family. Laurie also took the time to make sure the mortgage process, setting up utilities, etc. was a seamless as possible. At one point, she even recruited her husband to help us hang a picture in the new house. Laurie is the embodiment of "above and beyond" - and I am a very picky and demanding customer.

My husband and I worked with Laurie earlier this year to purchase our vacation home and she was amazing!! We live about 3.5 hours away. Laurie looked out for our interests, met contractors at the house, and walked us through all the steps in the process to ensure the purchase went smoothly. Laurie took great care of us and helped to make our vacation home buying experience fantastic!!!

As a general rule, I typically will not give testimonials, but as my experience with Laurie has been truly extraordinary, so I will make the exception.



In early 2013, I began my search for my ideal beach property in North Carolina and Florida, and had the chance to meet and interact with several realtors in both states.



In marked contrast to her colleagues, Laurie took the time to get to know me personally and understand specifically what I was looking for. She introduced me to the property that I eventually purchased, and guided me through every step of the negotiation, financing and closing process. Noteworthy points:



1) Responsiveness. Laurie was always there to answer my questions, whether by phone, text or email, literally 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As I had to do my real estate research after work, I found myself having to email her questions past 11PM some nights. Amazingly, I’d often have my answer back within 10 minutes!

2) Relentlessly professional. Laurie provided me with cash flow analysis, comps, rental history, zoning, everything I needed for due diligence to make a sound purchasing decision in an expeditious and professional manner. Laurie was also a very effective champion on my behalf and has the ability of making things happen when dealing with difficult persons during and after the real estate transaction process.

3) Personable without being pushy. No one likes a pushy salesperson and Laurie will never attempt to try to close the deal unless and until you state clearly that you are ready. She will help and guide you as much as you need and request, but will also stay out of your way if you are experienced enough to handle the details independently.

4) Network. I found Laurie to know all the best people on the OBX. She can point you towards local professional contractors, rental management companies, mortgage brokers if you so desire. I’ve found these individuals to be effective, professional and cost-effective. Having to identify good people when you’re not based in the OBX can be a challenge and I found her assistance invaluable.

5) Knowledgeable. Laurie’s extensive background in corporate America is reflected by attention to detail when addressing questions about the OBX real estate market. Importantly, Laurie will never try to bluff you- if she doesn’t know the answer, she will find out and she will find out fast!



Finally, Laurie did not disappear once the deal was closed but has helped me with many, many of the details that go into getting a newly purchased property turned around, from helping me provide keys to contractors to suggestions for the décor. In fact this last weekend we picked out some artwork and Laurie helped me take it back to the property in her SUV. I can’t imagine any of the other realtors I met doing that!



I am delighted to now be able to regard Laurie as more than just a business colleague. She is also now a friend, and I am happy to sign this testimonial with my contact information.

Working with my Realtor Laurie was AMAZING. Selling my house was very emotional. She guided me through the process with great care and answered ALL of my questions quickly by phone, text and email. She counseled me as to what all of my options were. She not only helped with the sale of my home, but gave me great advice on my new place. Everything was effortless.I couldn't have done it without her. She is now not only my Realtor I consider her a friend.

What a great experience we had with Laurie at Coastal Outer Banks Realty. Not only did she help us find a good deal on our condo, but made the entire experience hassle free. She found exactly what we were looking for (and didn't try to sell us things out of our price range) as well as recommended and coordinated insurance agents and mortgage companies. She also went the extra mile to help get estimates for the renovations that were needed which was a real help since we are out of town buyers!
