Provided by YP.comI would never recommend this place to anyone. Management here is very rude and unprofessional. When I had an issue with the lease I had e-mailed Teresa in the main office. My e-mails to Teresa were bounced around to all of the employees in the management office. Even though I was trying to communicate with Teresa personally, I would receive replies from a different person every time. Never did I receive an e-mail from the same person twice. My husband had received orders to move duty stations. We had received his orders about three weeks before we had to move. They still told us that we had to pay rent for an entire month that we would not be living there because we did not give a 30 day notice. It was impossible to give a 30 day notice due to the fact that we did not receive confirmation of our move from the Army until 3 weeks prior. My husband offered to get a note saying he just received his orders and could not give a 30 day notice but we were told that not even that would exempt us from paying rent for an apartment we were not living in. When we began looking at new places to rent at his new duty station, landlords began to give us calls back stating that management at Dorel had said we have numerous bounced checks WHICH WE NEVER HAD. When I confronted the ladies in the main office they were very, very rude. They assumed they were right and it seemed as if they did not want to deal with the problem or fix it. One review stated they will try to charge you for anything and it's 100% true!! We had a burnt out light bulb and were told that if we put a work order in for the light we would not be charged when we moved out. We had put a work order in for the light bulb before we moved out yet we were still charged $10 for the bulb. The move out directions were completely ridiculous! In order to receive your deposited back you must clean the fans, wipe down the light switches, polish all sink faucets, windex all windows, disinfect all counter tops and the list goes on and on! They even go as far as telling you what cleaning products you are not allowed to use. Even after completing the list you are still charged a mandatory fee for carpet cleaning. I have been out of these apartments for about 5 weeks now and I have yet to receive or hear ANYTHING about my security deposit refund. They are quick to take your money but they don't seem to be to concerned with returning yours.
Apparently they are allowed to enter your apartment if you are not home. I watched a women go around with pest control and enter an apartment because no one would answer the door. This to me is just crazy. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!

Provided by YP.comI find the reviews below to be ridiculous. I love living in the Dorel. Although I do wish they had more storage/closet space.
It is very nice to have the security gates. They have plenty of parking for residents plus 2 guests (although with notice, you can have more). If there were more parking, there would be more unknown people coming in.
The rent is $995 for a 2x2, although you can get a garden apartment that is not in the gated community for $850 (the apartments in between as stated below do belong to the complex).
The apartments are outstandingly clean and well maintained thanks to the carpet cleaning fee and the meticulous attention of the maintenance department.
It is true that they do threaten to take away your pool privileges if you don't wear your pool wristband. I've personally seen the poor maintenance guy run out several families that don't even live here...I've also seen him run out unaccompanied minors (shame on those parents!)
As far as other complaints... fake wood flooring, please...it's laminate. If princess wants real wood, go buy a house. Maintenance only comes in when you send in a request. Covered parking must be paid for unless you want everyone fighting over it. And I'm so glad they require you to reserve and put a deposit on the activity center...can you imagine what a mess it would be if anyone were allowed to cook there and have a party but not have to clean up?
And knock off Teresa, she bends over backwards to give tenants what they want.

Provided by YP.comThere are several other issues too. None of the floor plans have any storage areas. Dogs are only allowed in ONE of their ten buildings, even though it's marked on their website that they are pet friendly. If they can charge you extra for any little thing, they will. Upon leaving an apartment they will automatically deduct a fee for carpet cleaning, no matter how clean the carpet is and dispite the fact that the floorplans have mostly fake wood flooring. Finally, the some of the rules are ridiculous, you are only allowed to have a certain number of guests at any one time.

Provided by YP.comAlthough the apartments are new and nice there are many issues here.
1. Although they say the pool, gym and bbq areas are for RESIDENTS only, the properties in between the apartments complexes have FULL access to all of the dorel amenities; and pay a fraction what the dorel residents pay)
2. Cheap quality interior. Paint chips off, base boards coming up, unfinished painted areas, gaps between door jam and door, warped hardwood floors, and many others.
3. A "secure" side door to the entrance of the lower level, doesn't latch.
4. "Closed gated community" they leave the gate opens days on end.
5. RUDE MANAGEMENT. Teresa is by far the rudest property manager I have ever dealt with. Sending out rude emails at odd hours of the evening.
6. Bug and pest problem.
7. NOT ENOUGH PARKING!
8. In the contract you can be released if going on a deployment, however, they frown upon it because they are aware you still receive BAH
9. Activities center is NOT free to use, requires a deposit of $125 with a door opening fee of $25, I'm unsure how much is refundable. (although this is listed as an amenity)
10. Management threatens to take away "privileges" (pool, bbq, fitness center) when it is listed on their website as amenities.
11. Covered parking, is an extra $35 per month
12. TV and internet (TWC) are already hard wired in and residents are REQUIRED to pay $80 per month regardless if its needed/wanted and you are UNABLE to use any other company besides TWC because they have a contract though them.
13. Maintenance will knock and proceed to enter without proper notification.
14. Not enough closest space. (no hall, linen, or outdoor closets)
For the apartments being NEW the quality and issues are beyond disappointing. They cut corners and did as little as possible to make these a good QUALITY apartment. When its all said and done, for a 2x2 I pay $1,110.00. Rent - $995, water - $35 and TV/internet $80; you can rent a NICE HOME for how much you pay here. I do not recommend these apartments to anyone, especially if you are in the military. This review is NOT my opinion alone, I have spoken with SEVERAL other residents and this is a compilation of all our complaints and issues. I moved in for certain amenities (gated community) and they are not fulfilling their duties.
