BEWARE

Money hungry owner and gossiping director n some staff. Some staff talk to your child as if they are their parent. Kindergarten teacher is worthless and useless and has no experience. Beware. They advertise "excellent child care" when in fact they are deceitful, spiteful individuals

Great Teachers, Friendly Staff

As any parent, you are very skeptical about your child being in the care of strangers. At Education Connection, you will not feel this way. They have a warm, loving, and caring environment. My daughter was very shy and timid when she started there and now she is very participant and active with all her classmates. Her teachers are the best. They worked with her and made her very comfortable there. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone moving into the Killeen area.

Visit first

Although no facility is right for every child and every age, this one was perfect for my son. When he started there, he had some language delays. They worked well with us and ECI and he caught up easily. There is a set curriculum and the teacher turnover is low in comparison to what I've seen at other facilities in the area (between 2 kids we've seen 4 different centers). Within a month, almost every worker new my son and that he was potty trained- even those not assigned to him full-time. They are strict about policies, but they will work with you to an extent if you are polite and outline the situation to them calmly. Also, this is a school/day care.If you want your child to have one on one attention and everything the way YOU WANT IT, hire a nanny or be flexible to understand that your child might not be in the correct clothing because 8 other things might have just happened in that room when you walked in.

Parents who leave...

You should never trust a bad review solely. Go see the place yourself and speak to the staff. Many times a parent is in denial as to what his/her child really needs and is not prepared to admit that the real problem may be something going on at home. No child is ever "ignored" at this facility. Often times, a special needs child simply needs more one-on-one and would be better suited in a small environment. Also, did you even tell the staff your child is Special Needs?

Top Notch

It's a shame that others have to post negative things about a business. I have lived in this community all of my life and know the owner, Tracy Fogle Hanson, personally. As a past educator, she strives for quality and loving care. My children and now grandchildren have and do attend Education Connection. It is a very family-oriented atmosphere. I recommend them to everyone!! Unfortunately, special needs children often need one-on-one care and in a group setting, that becomes very difficult. I know that if any situation is brought to Tracy or her wonderful director, Nicki, it will be handled in a professional manner. Don't take my word about this wonderful place, go see for yourself. I promise you won't regret it.Maggie (A very satisfied mother and grandmother!)P.S. Tracy allows the Central Texas Respite Group to use her facility once a month at no charge so that parents of special needs children can have some time to themselves!

Bad Day Care!!

If you have a special needs child please do not register your child to attend this facility. They will completely ignore your child, my experience with this facility was a very horrible one. I have changed to a different day care and my child is doing so much better. I would not recommend this day care to any of my friends.
