MAY 22, 2010. Made a online reservation with UHAUL at Veterans Memorial location. Received the confirmation email. Went to the location to pick up the reserved equipment at the reserved time 2PM. Said I had a reservation to pick up at 10ft cargo van. Employee said they did not have cargo vans at this location. So I asked for a similar priced truck and he said NOTHING was available until 7pm. Referred me to another location. The referred location on Central Texas Expressway did not have anything either. I was under a time constraint to pick up some furniture and went ahead without any UHAUL equipment. Had to inconvenience a friend, waste time and gas to load the furniture into two vehicles. Upon returning home and unloading the furniture at approximately 4PM , I called 1-800-GO-UHAUL as the Central TX UHAUL location advised me to do. Both a sign in their store front and on the website states, $50 GUARANTEE if reservation agreements are not met. My reservation was not met. MONDAY, MAY 24th 2010, the manager of the veterans memorial location calls me and says this is my fault. I'm am very upset and frustrated that they are blaming me for their incompentence. The employee, a young blonde guy with a goatee, never looked up my reservation information, just stated nothing was available. And the manager, Ms. Margaret, is telling me I never showed up. I was there at the reservation time! I have since filed a 2nd complaint with UHAUL and with the BBB. I will never use them again. Margaret is rude as well as her boss, Kim. BEWARE OF THIS UHAUL LOCATION! Take your business else where if you must use U-Haul (The Central Texas Expressway location has VERY kind employees, and even tho they were unable to help me with rental equipment, she advised me to call 1-800-Go-UHAUL)
