Don't choose this place. I had my reception there in February 2004. I signed a contract and was told we would be getting the newly remodeled hall. When I dropped my sister off at the hotel at 1:00 am on the Thursday before my wedding I noticed the hall that I was supposed to have was not complete. Being hopeful, I thought maybe they were just doing the finishing touches and it would be as beautiful as I had hoped. I went in on Friday (the day before my wedding) and upon noticing the hall not close to being complete, I talked with Mike the owner. He said, (and notice the quotes) "Yes, they are running behind. I didn't know about it until I came in this morning." WHAT?!?!?! and then he said "What do you want me to do about it? Do you want me to cater it somewhere else?" Mike asked sarcastically. I had my mom and my best friend as witnesses to this. What I should have said was "Yes, and get all of my guests there also." But I didn't. I walked away and cried. You expect something to go wrong on your wedding but nothing this major. So I was given the hall that they had just started to remodel with wall paper half off and wires sticking out of the wall where the exit signs should have been. (I have pictures to prove it) Thankful my best friend took over and worked out a deal but it just wasn't good enough. And at the end of the night when we went to pay our bill, Mike said to me, "I wish you would have come talk to me about all of this." Not what I wanted to do on what was supposed to be the most magical day of my life. And now almost 10 years later, I am still married to my best friend despite getting the worst hall in town that night. Mike the owner is extremely unprofessional and I tell everyone who will listen about what happened ....and show them the pictures of the hall we paid for. I at least have the peace of mind that after telling several people about my incident, they chose not to consider Liberty Hall. The only good about Liberty Hall is Nola.....who was very understanding and kind through all of this.
