Can not say enough positive comments about Formals XO! This is the second year that I've driven an hour one way to purchase prom gowns! Lauren was fantastic! She could look at my girls and know what would look good on them...it worked! The dress for my oldest daughter fit perfectly, the only alteration needed was a tack in the back to bustle the train! My younger daughter tried on dresses she picked, no luck...Lauren brought her a gown that looked beautiful! Huge smile on my daughters face and we knew that was it! Oh, another positive remark, fittings were done THE SAME DAY! Couldn't be happier! Will totally be back again next year and will tell everyone where we purchased our gowns!! Thank you ladies!!

We had the most awful experience here purchasing a prom dress. The prom was to be held on June2. It was bought and paid for on April 3rd. $320 and promised to be ready in 4 weeks and delivered. On the day to have expected it s arrival, l had called to ask when is it coming? IT WAS NOT EVEN ORDERED. I needed time for alterations, they have left me hanging last minute to get this dress altered. A very unorganized operation, both stores!....be CAREFUL IN PURCHASING DRESSES FROM HERE, whether its for prom or wedding. (Can you imagine if this was your WEDDING DRESS?). There is a no return policy. BECAUSE I WANTED MY MONEY BACK !!! BAD, BAD BUSINESS LADIES..this is not how you run a business ! ....Ii WOULD NOT RECOMMEND any of these stores, they are owned together.. IT HAD A LOT OF DRESSES TO CHOOSE FROM....but believe me....search and you find a perfect dress somewhere else, don t get involved with this MESS on your most important day! BAD BUSINESS, LADIES ! Shame, shame on you, now we know your game.......

YOU DO NOT GET MY RECOMMENDATION HERE.

If I were able to give this store a half of star I would. I honestly feel like I wasted a day and my money here.The customer service was horrible but most importantly the dresses are not worth the half the number on the price tag . You also cannot return anything you buy from here even if you purchased it the same day

The ladies working were very rude. My friend and I were both trying on dresses, and they made comments on how the dresses did not look good on us. Both of us were in sweats because that makes it easy to try on dresses and we both came with $500 each, but both women kept making comments about how we probably couldn't afford what they had there. We happily took our money somewhere else.

rude to bride

Manager/owner was rude. I had made an appointment stating I was looking for a wedding dress. When I got there the manager/owner put me in the back room stated they really don't do wedding dresses anymore and I can look at floor models if I want one as is. He left me and mother tho look and never checked up on us. We walked out and never looked back.

VERY UNHAPPY

I came into the King of Prussia store with my parents looking for a prom dress and I was unhappy. I had dresses to try on and a man came up to me with a VERY inappropriate attitude telling me that my parents must be with me in order to try my dresses on yet they were right next to me (I am a legal adult). He also told me that I was not holding the dresses correctly yet I was carrying them like every other person in the store. He was very rude to other customers as well. I felt very attacked. It was very rude and I gave him my dresses and left. I DO NOT plan on coming back to the store anymore and I most definitely will not be recommending the store to anyone. It is not worth spending my money in a store who's workers treat their customers poorly

Never Again!



I had a terrible experience at the King of Prussia store. After being told that I did not have time to order a dress (even though I had 7 weeks until the event), I purchased one from the rack with the assurance all loose tacking would be repaired by the seamstress. Seamstress fitting seemed to go fine. On the day the dress alterations were supposed to be completed and returned to the store, I phone prior to leaving my home and it was confirmed the dress would be there. It was not and I was told they called and left a voicemail that morning---but what about my call to them confirming? I was told the seamstress would deliver the dress to the store the next day at 11:00. Arrived next day, and was told the seamstress was stuck in traffic and would be another 1/2 hour wait. The man who works/runs the store does not have ANY customer service skills whatsoever. No apology, just very flip and cocky. Waited patiently. Meanwhile, another customer came in saying she had been wating for

1 1/2 for her dress to arrive from the seamstress. She also cautioned that she was here because the dress was not altered properly and actually fell off her daughter. After waiting over one hour, the seamstress arrived and the dress had not been altered correctly. The seamstress asked if my daughter had lost weight in the last two weeks - oh please. Again, the seamstress pinned up the dress (for an additional $40 fee) and said it would be ready in one week. Returned in one week, there was still tacking that had not been fixed and the length of the gown was too long. Since I had already made three trips to this store (and it is not nearby my house), I was not going to make another and possibily receive even more shoddy service. Not one apology from the store manager, etc.I will take to my own seamstress for the repair work.

I wanted to buy my daughter a dress for a special event. I went to the website first and then found that they had a store in KOP, so went there and had my daughter try on dresses as I know that all designers sizes run the up and down. When we arrived, I was quite surprised at the "condition" of the store, the prices that they were selling these dresses for on-line, my expectation of the store was much higher. It had a very "warehouse" field to it and was not aesthetically pleasing, it even had an old smell to it. I could over look that, but when we asked for assistance from a young employee she had a bit of an "attitude'. I said out loud, as I am not one to hold back. "You can drop the attitude, you only work in a dress shop!" We were then assisted by a wonderful young lady. She was all smiles! She asked our price range and when I told her, well her eyes lit up! My daughter tried several dresses on and of course she looked stunning. I noticed other girls trying on gowns and well let me just say, I would never pay $300 for some of the cheap "prom dresses" they try to pawn off as designer. Some of the sewing quality looked as though they ran them up themselves in the back room! My daughter was lucky, we could afford a dress of higher quality. When I asked the price of the dress, the sweet assistant told me with an "only $690", however, I could have sworn it was cheaper on line. She was selling really hard, so figured she worked on commission. She basically told us if we did not buy the dress today it would be sold and there would be no time to order it as it could take up to 12 weeks! I knew this was BS, so we left, went home, found the dress through another vendor and was $100 cheaper! Ordered it on Saturday, it was at my home by that Tuesday. and free shipping! I suggest going in and trying dresses on, when you find the one you like, just make note of the designer and number of the dress, go on-line and order it, much cheaper and you won’t feel dirty!!!

There Policy Needs To Be Rewritten!

My daughter purchased a dress online...her measurements were taken by a seamstress and ordered the sIze 4. Everyone knows that clothing runs different in every brand, style, maker. Well the size 4 is a tad big and she would be better with a 2. But of course with their crappy NO EXCHANGE policy she is stuck with a dress that doesn't fit. AND for these prices!.....there should be allowed exchanges! I can see no refund....BUT NO EXCHANGES??? (just a crazy policy) I can show you 3 woman who are all a size 4 with different body shapes and a size 4 dress will fit them all differently and one might need the size 2. I will not buy in the future if this policy is still intact. Until there is a change I will take my 400 dollars to a store where there is a little thing called...wait for it...CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I LOVE THIS STORE!!!!

I love this store! I shop here all the time and get all my dresses and accessories here. I have never been pushed into a sale or purchased damaged merchandise. I love the store and I am friendly with all the associates there. This is the perfect place to buy any formal wear!

Formals XO pushy salesperson - damaged dress

I have a complaint Formals XO. I took my daughter there and the middle aged salesperson was very pushy and rude. Against my better judgment, I gave into my daughter and bought her the dress. When we got home, I noticed that several seams were not sewn in well and were starting to unravel. When I called the store about it, the manager fired back "all sales are final - you should have noticed it before you bought it. Once it leaves the store, it's not our responsibility.
