Forget it - don't ever do business here. Have had very similar experiences to those who have already posted.



This was my experience with Cindy's Boo-tique:



Horrible experience! The owner, Cindy, is very unprofessional and disorganized. When I dropped off my items, I saw that there were bags and totes and papers and all manner of clutter on the counter, but, as big as the store was, I assumed that she must "have it together." And, a friend had referred me. When I went to pick up my things, half of my printed inventory was just gone. It hadn't been sold, and it wasn't in the store. She suggested that they had been pulled to be donated and / or had been shoplifted. One or two items, yes, but not half of what I brought in! I called the day before my contract expired and came to pick up my left-over "inventory" on the day that the contract was fulfilled. AND my contract specified that all of my items were to be "picked up" (i.e. not donated, thrown away, etc. - I, the consignor, would come and retrieve them). Even more frustrating, one of my nicest items I found myself in the store under someone else's name! Had it been sold, I would never have known and would not have received anything for it. Several other items simply did not show up on the printed inventory at all - this means they were never entered into the system or were listed under another consignor; these items were in pristine condition and would not have been donated at the owner's discretion, which is evidently fairly routine with some consignment stores. Without these items being listed on my inventory sheet, I can't even prove that I brought them in at all. At this point I'm counting about 10 -20 items, and, again, this is SEPARATE from the items that she admits were taggedunder my consignor ID but simply cannot find. Very bummed and frustrated. I feel like I've been taken advantage of.

I completely agree with the earlier review. My sister and I have both had bad experiences when dealing with Cindy. My sister took in a ton of good designer items, along with a list of the items. Cindy somehow lost the list and sold all my sister's clothing under the store's account. It took my sister forever to get her money back, and Cindy acted like it was such a problem to give her the money. I recently went in to pick up my items that haven't sold, and she convienently couldn't find them. She told me that she would call me within a week, and I have yet to hear from her. Cindy is obviously incompetent when it comes to running a business. Once I pick up my items, I will not do any business with her again.

My mother passed away and I took her clothes, hats, belts, shoes, etc. here to see if Cindy was interested in putting any in her shop. I had lots of boxes and I'm sure it was a difficult job for her to go through all of them to see what she could use. She was interested in keeping some of the items, so I picked the rest of it up after she called me. By the way, that is the ONLY time she has called me. She did not give me a list of what she kept, so I called and asked her to send the list, which she said she would do, I never received it. I have repeatedly called asking for the list and also how much of the merchandise she has sold. In our last conversation, when I called her 2 weeks ago, she had sold some pieces and was to send me a check along with the list I have been promised for almost a year now. She will TAKE the merchandise, but she is dishonest and will never pay you your percentage. Taking merchandise to her is like taking it to goodwill,only she keeps ALL the profit. I have been very surprised and disappointed in Cindy's lack of professionalism and total dishonesty. --- VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!
