I have played this course many times over the year but the most pleasant surprise awaited me today. The course had changed owners in April and it was like coming to a whole new course ... it started when I pulled up and one of the staff brought a new cart to me as soon as I got out of my truck .. before you had to carry your bags to the carts because the parking lot was closed off... the staff were very friendly and professional and went out of their way to make me feel welcomed. The facilities have been upgrade and made much more inviting to hang out either before or after your game. I played in late November and altho the green grass was missing found the fairways and greens to be in very good shape. The course is both easy and challenging depending on which hole you are on and where your ball lies. If you are looking for a good course with a great staff take the drive up to Kingsland and enjoy Hill Country golf at it's finest.
