Located in Kingsport, Mass., Exchange Place is a historical landmark that has a more than 2,000-acre facility. The firm represents 19th century agricultural life and domestic skills, including washing, spinning, weaving, ironing, quilting, candle dipping and basketry. It offers Country Critters program that includes a hayride and demonstration of animal care. Exchange Place s Country Doings program includes a variety of old-fashioned games, including stirring up hoecakes and dipping candles. The firm offers group tour package that includes painting demonstrations, dulcimer concerts, storytelling, craft demonstrations and hands-on projects. It also hosts several special events that include spring garden fair, folk arts festival, witches wynd and Christmas in the country.
