Located in Kingsport, Tenn., John Sevier Middle School is governed by Kingsport City Schools, which has an enrollment of more than 6,000 students in over 10 schools. It provides educational programs to students in sixth through eighth grades. The school has various cocurricular teams, such as a band, dance group, math bowl, forensics, geography bee and newcomers club. The school conducts an after-school program sponsored by the Yong Men s Christian Association and is licensed by the state of Tennessee. John Sevier Middle School offers training in several athletic activities, including cross country, football, wrestling, basketball, cheerleading, softball, and track and field.
