I had a problem with a used washer I had recently purchased at Short's. One of the employers was difficult to deal with. Mr. Short made a point to rectify the situation, apologizing for his employers behavior and made sure we were happy with our purchase. He exchanged our washing machine out with another that we agreed was reasonable. We were very pleased with how the problem was dealt with and with the exchange. I would recommend Mr. Short.

FYI - If you buy a used washing machine from Shorts Appliance, Kingsport, please be aware of what you are agreeing to:There is a 30 day warranty which basically means...If it breaks down the first time you use it, it's still yours, NO exceptions. Even if it's their fault/oversight and not yours. You CAN NOT return it. Even if it is the very next day.They WILL NOT come to your home to work on the washer they just sold you, even though their business is going to homes to work on appliances!They WILL REFUSE to exchange it for one in better condition even though you agree to pay the difference.The ONLY thing they will do, is ask you to LOAD it up and HAUL it BACK to them where they will "repair it" free of charge and then have you come back so you can HAUL it back home.If you come after 2:45 pm, you will more than likely be asked to load it by yourself or bring someone with you to load it.If you are okay with all of the above, and you still choose to purchase a used washer from Short's, take cash because when you start to pay with a card, they will ask you to leave their store and go find an ATM so you can pay with their preferred method of payment/cash. (This is what I was told when I bought the used washer.)
