I had a very positive experience with Altomira. Charlie, the owner, helped fix my sewing machine in a pinch. He stayed late and fixed it right away knowing I had an art project pending on the use of this machine. He promised it next business day, which in this case, would have been a Monday after dropping it off on Saturday, but instead, he called me 2 hours later with the machine all fixed and ready for pick up! I'm so grateful to Charlie for going above and beyond in his service. The machine works perfectly, and I'm feeling ever so relieved to have it back and be able to get going on my art project.

I had an issue with a Miele upright I bought online, a U1 Dynamic Dog and Cat. Mr. CHARLIE graciously fixed everything for me, gave me complete information on all the different Mieles, charged me nothing. He took the heavy monster out of my car, removed the impossible handle, placed the machine and all the tools in the box it came in, taped the return label with barcodes. All this with totally pleasant conversation and pertinent information about the best vacuums for a person with 3 shedding dogs. I then was able to mail the monster back to whence it came..

The original owner was great..very honest and good at repairs. The new owners are a nightmare. Told me that the engine on the vac was gone without even investigating it..also told me that they would call me back regarding a trade in. Gave me different information on buying a new vac than the old owner. These are incompetant and dishonest fools.

BAD experience! Bought a SEBO canister here, and when the cord wouldn't retract 2 years later, they charged me $40 to "fix" it... didn't even retract once. In the process, the foam bumper was destroyed, and the on button doesn't work well. I would give them zero stars if possible.

Need a vacuum repair? DO NOT go to Altomari Sew/Vac Centers in Kingston. I paid $85 to have my Miele vacuum repaired, and it broke immediately. I brought it back and was told that they could not repair it and I should bring it to an authorized service center. The authorized repair center informed me that my vacuum had been reassembled improperly, and repairs would cost about $250. Altomari Sew/Vac Centers would take no responsibility and gave me a runaround. I'm out the $85 I paid them for the repair, plus the cost of a new vacuum cleaner.
