My family and I have eaten here many times when we visited the Kingston area in the past 3 years or so. We loved it. Sadly this last visit was a terrible experience. The service was terrible. We had to keep waving for the waitresses attention to bring us basic things. We had to ask for cornbread and biscuits. We had to ask for steak knives after ordering three steak dinners. The food came cold. Only the plates were hot.The steaks were fatty. The mash potatoes were tasteless they never took away our appetizer plates after we used them. Waitress, not once came around to ask if we needed anything or ask how everything was. Their were flies every where. We finally asked for the check and left. Very disappointed to say the least. The waitress just handed us the check with out even a thank you.Sadly we will not be returning.

Awesome BBQ in an unexpected location

Driving out of the city on our way to Ski at Hunter we pulled into this orange building located on Route 28. We were blown away. Fantastic wings and rib tips for entrees. 2 of us had the ribs and they were really succulent, Bot full of the bone mush but snappy with a great smoky flavor. The woman who owned the place with her husband who works in the kitchen had suggested blackened catfish to a friend who was not into bbq. Really great - not too spicy but well seasoned. Fresh cole slaw and well cooked beans were flavore perfectly. Nice local beers though the list had dozens from all over. Our waiter - nice kid in his teens - recommended a chocolate blackout and a chocolate moousse. We took them to go. Made it about 3 miles before we dug in. Delicious and you can tell homemade.

We liked it so much we stopped for burgers on our way back the following sunday. Really nice grilled huge monstwers of meat. Had mine with the homemade chili and an extra side of these colossol onion rings. All in all the best part of our trip.
